The Oasis At Death Valley

Announcing a Renaissance

On February 1, 2018, The Oasis at Death Valley (formerly Furnace Creek Resort) reopened its luxury property, The Inn at Death Valley, after a multimillion dollar renovation. The historic, four-diamond Inn at Death Valley, owned by Xanterra, is a true American oasis offering 66 elegantly updated rooms, renovated fine dining restaurant and cocktail lounge, verandas with sweeping views of Death Valley and the Panamint Mountains, opulent gardens, and a stunning spring-fed pool (naturally at 85 degrees).

Our task: Promote the renovation and new amenities, including the new Tranquility Spa, poolside cabanas, and Pool Café plus the pool and family-friendly amenities at its sister property, The Ranch at Death Valley, in time for the busy spring break season in Death Valley.

By hosting a “Hard Hat” press trip in January and select media for individual visits immediately before and after opening, we secured several stories including in Bloomberg Pursuits, USA Today, AFAR, Skift, The Washington Times, AARP and more. Our outreach promoting that “the coolest pool in the driest spot in the U.S.” was once again open netted us coverage in Travel + Leisure while our pitching about the family-friendly amenities at The Ranch at Death Valley secured us a spot in a Reader’s Digest story about unique spring break family getaways.
